Girls Are Apples

I received a text from a friend wherein
guys would be seen as lazy and cowardly..

So I felt the need to stand up and defend my gender!
AWOO AWOO!

Here was the message:

Girls are like apples on trees.
The best are at the top and boys
don't want to reach for the good ones
because they are afraid of falling
and getting hurt.
Instead, they just get the rotten apples
that are on the ground which are not
as good but easy to take.
So the apples at the top think
there is something wrong with them,
when in reality they are amazing.
They just have to wait
for the right boy to come along.
The one who is brave enough to climb.
All the way to the top of the tree.

My response:

Girls are apples.
That much I can agree on.
But there are no apple trees
in these country.
All the apples we guys would ever
find in the Philippines
are those that are in the market.

With price tags..
